Abstract
Wildlife Photography and other branches took shaped and developed along with the invention of photography. Animals, these creatures that lived near the human beings in the past, have come to our modern world in the form of images. Not surprisingly, people are interested in recording and watching the wildlife. This is a descriptive research which the data have been collected through library and field research. A particular number of amateur and professional photographers have been identified, their photos been reviewed and several numbers of photographers have been interviewed. The writer has also attended two theoretical seminars as well as a workshop on Wildlife Photography to experience and gain more information on the subject. The present thesis studies the wildlife photographers’ works in Iran for the first time. The study consists of three main chapters that begin with a brief history of the wildlife photography in the world and in Iran; it is then followed by a series of specialized wildlife photography techniques including nature-based tourism, zoology and photography. Finally, amateur and professional Iranian wildlife photographers are introduced and their works are analyzed based on two aspects of the old and new styles of wildlife photography.
